It has been several years since our last net worth update. A lot has changed in our lives, but our strategy for building wealth has remained the same.
Here is where we currently stand:
- Investments: $512,000
- Home Equity: $184,000
- Cash: $60,000
Total Net Worth: $756,000
This officially marks another quarter-million-dollar milestone.
I’m currently setting aside money for our Roth IRA contributions, but I’m waiting to determine whether we’ll need to use the backdoor Roth strategy this year.
Our plan is to pay off the mortgage over the next 3–4 years while continuing to invest aggressively for retirement.
I also recently opened a taxable brokerage account as early retirement is becoming an increasingly realistic possibility.
I hope to make these net worth updates a regular feature of the blog. As our portfolio grows, the market’s day-to-day swings have become much more noticeable, making each update even more interesting.
